Kansas City, Missouri – Sep 1, 2017 – Kansas City’s hardest working band, American Dischord, are hitting the road again — their third tour in 12 months. This time the trio has their sights set on the west coast of the United States with a route that takes them from Seattle all the way through the painted desert. The latest tour runs from October 10th through October 29th and spans three time zones, and the length of the entire west coast. American Dischord will be previewing new material en route to los Angeles, CA to begin production with Scott Hallquist, of Ten Foot Pole (Fat Wreck Chords) for their forthcoming album.
“It’s been over two years since I’ve gone back home,” says American Dischord’s Tyler Temple. “We’re going to be playing a bunch of new material this go-round, which is always exciting for us, but this is also going to be a much-needed homecoming for me as well.”
Nick Freeman, the band’s drummer, adds “This is actually the first time the band will be going west with me, and I’m really excited to have so much time physically on the coast. This tour came together perfectly, and we’re going to be seeing so many awesome, talented friends, I only hope I can keep up!”
The band opted for a “balls-to-the-wall” attitude when it came to planning this tour. “We rarely take days off on the road anyway, but there’s so many places we wanted to go, it was a conscious decision to not book any days off this go around. That means some long drives to get to the coast quickly, but Buddy Boat, I hope, is up to the challenge,” says Temple.
Tickets will be available now through local box offices.
