About

Album CoverThe Kansas City, Missouri-based Punk Rock trio American Dischord were formed in 2012 by singer/guitarist Tyler Temple. After debuting in 2013 with their 7-song EP "Songs for Sinners," on Splatterhouse Wreckords the band immediately hit the road, touring almost constantly for the next three years. The band’s music has been described as “Haul ass Rock n’ Roll” but its fair to say their sound is almost as ferocious as their work ethic. Though still a relatively new band, they‘ve already built quite the resume, including major endorsements from Moniker Guitars, Seymore Duncan, Masters of Maple Drums, and performances with a virtual who’s-who of the punk rock compendium, including The Misfits, Agent Orange, The Adicts, GBH, Flatfoot 56, The Bollweevils, Lower Class Brats, DRI, The Casualties, The Queers, Guttermouth, Agnostic Front, The Murder Junkies and many more. They’ve built a national following through sheer force of will (and a few intensely sweaty shows). American Dischord’s never say die attitude will be on full display through 2017. They are currently putting the finishing touches on a new record which is due out next year, and will be touring all over the U.S. and Asia throughout 18.

This band is the most smiling group of motherfuckers I've ever seen. American Dischord is a party... and while that party would most certainly kill me, I'm always delighted to be a spectator.

— Sid Sowder TooMuchRock.com

A refreshing dose of
pure Punk Rock energy.

— Michael Graves/Misfits

Harold O. gives them five K's
and two thumbs up!

— Harald Oimoen, Dirty Rotten Imbeciles (D.R.I.)

One of the most motivated bands to walk through my door.

— Brendan McReynolds/Producer

This band could have followed Minor Threat back in the day, easily.

— Barb Wire Dolls (Greece)

Well guys, the band arrived in the big city the other day, its been nonstop action. I fear I’ll never get caught up now, so here is an abridged version of our time in Canton, and Detroit. It rained pretty much the entire way to Canton, Ohio. It was a little chilly, and the rain Read more

Life From the Bottom – Day 8

I woke up in a dinky truck stop somewhere in Indiana, not entirely sure where I was. I had retired to the van after our Bloomington show, in hope I could sleep off whatever vile contamination was creeping through my body. When I finally rose, the back of my throat felt like I have been Read more

Life From the Bottom – Day 6/7

I’ve got a double feature for today! Not sure if it was the lake water, or a city of 8 million, but I seem to have picked up some kind of crud. Rock n Roll doesn’t rest and neither will we! With the van pointed south for Chicago we crashed out somewhere outside of Milwaukee Read more
